In the Democratic process of hunting tag allotment, the governor of Idaho, C. L. "Butch" Otter, missed out on buying the "first" wolf tag when they went on sale this morning.
That honor went to Adrienne Peterson at Jim’s Pawn Shop in Middleton. According to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.
Wolf tags went on sale this morning at 10 a.m. Otter had suggested he would bid on the first tag, but since the wolf hunt is a general season, any Joe or Jill Hunter is eligible for a tag. No word yet on whether or not Otter, who is traveling, bought a tag today.
