PETA Says Boise is Veg-Friendly

Posted By on Fri, Jul 16, 2010 at 11:04 AM

Boise has made PETA's Top 10 list of small North American cities for vegans and vegetarians.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has actually crafted two Top 10 lists: One for large cities in North America and a separate list for medium or smaller cities on the continent. In choosing Boise as No. 10 for small cities, PETA singled out Shangri-La Tea and Deli, the Boise Fry Company and Mai Thai for their vegan-friendly menus.

Topping the small cities list: Olympia, Wash. Of large cities in North America, Washington, D.C., takes top honors with Portland, Ore. at No. 2 and Seattle taking the fifth spot.
