A staff sergeant assigned to the 366th Fighter Wing at Mountain Home Air Force Base has died. Officials at the base told Citydesk the airman was first seen at Elmore County Hospital over the weekend, before being transferred to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise where she passed away early Monday.
The name of the airman is being withheld until next-of-kin are notified. The cause of death is unknown and an official investigation has been launched.
