Photo Manipulation Lands Egyptian Paper in Controversy

Posted By on Wed, Sep 15, 2010 at 12:17 PM

When it comes to peace in the Middle East, it seems everyone wants to be seen as the hero.

Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram has come under international scrutiny after it ran a doctored photo of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak leading a delegation that included President Barack Obama, as well as the leaders of Israel, Palestine and Jordan, as the group walked down a hall in the White House.

Problem is, the original photo released shows Obama in the lead. (The fact that the photo was taken in the White House is kind of a dead giveaway that the president of the United States might just be the center of attention .... just sayin').

The paper has since replaced the photo on its website. But in this day and age, nothing is gone forever: Check out the questionable images thanks to BBC.
