More Medical Marijuana Coming Into Idaho

Posted By on Sun, May 8, 2011 at 9:22 AM

Southeast Idaho is seeing a trend that's already happening in Southwest Idaho: medical marijuana illegally making its way into Idaho. KIFI in Idaho Falls reports that Fremont County Sheriff's Deputies are finding more pot crossing into Idaho that was distributed as medical relief in Montana.

Fremont law enforcement reports 15 narcotic offenses last month, compared to 47 in all of last year. Some charges were filed against Idahoans who received the pot after getting a medical marijuana card in Montana.

In March, BW reported on the growing number of Idahoans traveling to Eastern Oregon after a new medical marijuana dispensary opened in Ontario.
