Intermountain Asks for Rate Decrease

Posted By on Thu, Aug 11, 2011 at 3:41 PM

Intermountain Gas is asking permission from the Idaho Public Utilities Commission to drop its prices. If approved, effective Oct. 1, residential customers using natural gas for water heating and space heating could realize a savings of 1.58 percent, or 90 cents a month, while customers using gas for space heating only could see a drop of 9 cents a month. Commercial customers, on average, would have a saving of approximately 18 cents a month.

"The overall demand for natural gas remains low while natural gas supplies are plentiful," said Frank Morehouse, executive vice president for Intermountain.
