Popsicle Recall

Posted By on Fri, Aug 12, 2011 at 9:34 AM

Depending on how you feel about Popsicles, Fudgsicles and Creamsicles, a big mistake by the Unilever Company may have you frustrated or pleasantly surprised. Unliver, which distributes its products across the United States, including in Idaho, is recalling mislabeled 24-count boxes of Popsicle brand sugar free orange, cherry and grape flavored ice pops. It turns out that a number of the boxes mistakenly contain Fudgsicle and Creamsicle ice pops.

It's a significant health issue because the Fudgsicles and Creamsicles obviously contain milk, a known allergen, and it's not labeled on the box.

The affected product has a UPC code of 7756702295 with date codes of OCT0312GCD, OCT0412GCD, OCT0512GCD, OCT0612GCD and OCT0712GCD. The recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
