Ada County law enforcement booked 42 DUI arrests over the Labor Day weekend, 21 by Boise Police Department. Among the arrests were several felonies, including one for 27-year-old David Settle who was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of a hit and run at Ninth and Jefferson streets. Law enforcement said Settle had three previous DUI convictions in 2007, 2009 and 2010. In another incident, 21-year-old Jason Adakai of Nampa blew a .255 and .261 blood alcohol content. The legal limit is .08.
This past weekend's crackdown followed a similar string of arrests that saw 36 individuals behind bars last weekend. Traditionally about 20-25 people are charged with DUI in Ada County during a weekend.
