Job Fair Slated for Vets, Spouses

Prior to the homecoming of more than 1,500 members of the 116th Cavalry Brigade following a year-long deployment, BW reported that the No. 1 concern of the returnees was finding a job.

"About a third of them said that their main concern would be looking for a job," said Col. Anthony Wickham, director of personnel and manpower for the Idaho National Guard. "So, yeah, we're very concerned about that."

In that shadow, the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve, and the Idaho Department of Labor will be co-hosting veterans and military spouses job fair Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Courtyard by Marriott on Eagle Road in Meridian. Dozens of employers are expected to participate.
