The Holy Grail of the marketplace is brand loyalty, and according to a new survey Apple leads the pack. A study by the research firm GfK says 84 percent of iPhone owners responded they would readily choose another when the time came to replace their smartphone. Sixty percent of Android users said they would stick with their brand. Blackberry, once the king of the hill, registered only 48 percent of users who said they would likely stick with one of Research In Motion's devices. Blackberry owners suffered through a three-day outage of the company's communication network in October.
For its survey, GfK sampled 4,500 people in the United States, Brazil, Britain, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Spain.
