Verizon has had better Decembers.
For the third time in a month, the nation's biggest wireless service experienced what it soft-pedaled as "an issue" with its high-speed wireless network. Customers complained today about their inability to connect in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. More than a few complained about the lack of a public explanation for the problem.
"At least acknowledge there is a problem," a customer wrote on an online message board, according to Reuters. "Do you really expect your paying customers not to notice?"
On Dec. 8, some Verizon customers were unable to access the Internet on their wireless devices, and the company experienced another data service problem on Dec. 21.
