While Occupy Boise faces possible eviction proposed by a bill currently making its way through the Idaho Legislature, their brethren in Washington, D.C., are looking at a similar ouster from the Capitol Mall.
The United States Park Police is distributing warning fliers to D.C. Occupiers this weekend, saying they must stop camping at two parks by Monday afternoon or risk arrest. The ouster comes in the wake of a U.S. House oversight subcommittee hearing, where the park service said it accomodated scores of 24-hour vigils and protests for years, but did not allow the land to be used for "living accomodation purposes such as sleeping."
Some Occupiers expect to be arrested.
"Many of us will likely defend the park with the passion anyone would show defending their home," Sam Jewler told the Washington Post.

How is it that lawmakers can change the laws when ever they want too? They change the rules when ever they don't like something to suit them. I don't remember seeing or hearing anything from the "people" raising hell about the occupiers in down town Boise on state property. If the people are to be evicted off of state land, then the lawmakers need to be also evicted off of state land. In other words, no one should be allowed on state land anywhere so all you lawmakers get out of "our" capital building, NOW!
No free camping. After the OWS kids pick up their trash and seed/fertilize the property, they need to attend some self awareness classes. The tax payers want access to the property they pay for as well. Don't forget, history did not begin with OWS. Most of OWS don't have skin in the game... they don't pay federal tax. That is called a parasite.

Occupy Oakland... bring the whole family. Nice peace signs. Clowns. I'm guessing team Obama in the Whitehouse are giddy.

Helps to explain the 40+ OWS protester living in a tent, demanding free stuff and a benefactor.
Obviously the criticism's of the Occupy Wall Street protester's are leveled by folks comfortable in their own worlds. To disagree is reasonable. However, the history of public citizens "camping out" on public property has precedent's that should be noted. Veteran's have protested in such a manner in the past. Veteran's that had been promised either pay or benefit's held rallies and camped near the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. on more than one occasion. American politician's today are heavily influenced by some of the one percent in our country. Seeing legislative power so blatantly corrupt as the crafting and passing of "special" law to limit the civil rights of their country men and women is disheartening. The brave libertarian's that founded this country fought for the right too decent by the few. There is less patriotism inside the Idaho legislature than in the park, being "occupied" in Boise, at the moment. When will America become Syria?

Bert,
OWS is so screwed up... they are not even camping. They pitch tents, put up signs and sleep in the comfort of their own bed. Its is all theater to justify envy and vent anger for being unemployed.
I pay tax and don't want the eyesore for the city. Get a permit and protest. Clean up the mess when you finish. Anarchy never works and just reveals adolescent thought. A little self awareness goes a long way, if you want to live around other people.
"A little self awareness goes a long way, if you want to live around other people." Agreement there. I also pay taxes...and I've been participating in Occupy Boise since its beginning. One reason I became involved is because I'm alarmed at the erosion of the middle class in this country - the falling wages, benefits, rising taxes & education & medical costs. These issues have arisen in a country that has become unduly influenced by the attitude that profits trump all, that corporations are people, that $ = speech, while real human beings are ignored and unrepresented. That's my rant, and it's why I'm involved in the Occupy movement.
