Robinson Running Again for Idaho House 12B

Posted by George Prentice on Wed, Feb 8, 2012 at 3:06 PM

Democrat Melissa Sue Robinson of Nampa has announced that she will once again run for Idaho House Seat 12B, currently held by Republican Rep. Gary Collins. Robinson ran an unsuccessful campaign for the seat in 2010. Previously, Robinson ran for mayor of Nampa in 2009.

In today's announcement, Robinson said that her platform would include the creation of a state bank to deliver loans to individuals and small businesses. Robinson said she also supports the "Add the Words" campaign, the effort to update Idaho's human-rights law by adding "sexual orientation and gender identity" to current protections for race, color, sex, national origin and disability.
