A new report out this morning from the Pew Center on the States indicates that one in eight U.S. voter registrations have errors—representing some 24 million registrations.

The study, entitled Inaccurate, Costly, and Inefficient, revealed approximately 1.8 million "voters" on the the rolls are deceased, 12 million contain wrong addresses and millions more are registered to vote in multiple states.

Pew researchers said they "didn't see evidence of widespread fraud," but at least eight states were aggressively working on cleaning up their centralized voter-data systems.
