Romney Leading in Wisconsin But Santorum Says Race is Far From Over

The Republican roadshow that is the GOP nominating contest has made its way to America's dairyland.

Wisconsin holds its winner-take-all primary on Tuesday, as former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is telling his supporters that he's confident he'll win and wrap up the Republican presidential nomination before his party's convention later this summer.

Romney was 7 percentage points ahead of rival Rick Santorum in the latest NBC-Maris poll of likely Wisconsin voters. This past week, Romney also picked up key endorsements from former President George H.W. Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, a Tea Party favorite.

But Santorum isn't buying Romney's overconfidence.

"They part on the facade of inevitability," said Santorum. "This is far from over." But Santorum also told Reuters that he would step aside if he believed the GOP race had run its course.
