Maybe you can't place the face, but the swastika on the forehead looks pretty familiar.
In anticipation of Charles Manson's parole hearing before the California Department of Corrections next week, CNN requested photos of the now-77-year-old murderer. The photographs were taken in June 2011 at the California State Prison in Corcoran.
CNN reports that photos of prisoners are taken "when they are transferred to other prisons or medical facilities, or in the case of Manson, when an inmate's appearance changes."
Manson was convicted in 1971 of ordering the killings of actress Sharon Tate, her unborn baby, and four others. Originally sentenced to death, Manson's sentence was reduced to life behind bars in 1972. He has since been denied parole 11 times.
