The J.A. and Kathyryn Albertson Foundation announced today that 22 Treasure Valley schools are in line to receive more than $700,000 in grants, earmarked to encourage students to "go on" as part of the foundation's campaign to encourage students to pursue higher education.

The Go On campaign, launched in 2009, has, to date, offered $11 million in scholarships at Idaho colleges to assist Gem State families. The new funds will help high schools offer more counseling on scholarship and financial aid for potential college students.

Seven Boise schools were among the 22 Treasure Valley schools set to receive grants:

East Junior High - $25,000
Fairmont Junior High - $40,000
Hillside Junior High - $24,000
Lowell Scott Middle School - $28,140
North Junior High - $40,000
South Junior High - $30,000
West Junior High - $40,000
