Gas Prices Continue to Drop in Idaho, Nation

Posted By on Sun, Jun 24, 2012 at 9:56 AM

With 18 states reporting a gallon a unleaded gas below $3, energy analysts are expecting prices at the pumps to continue to fall through the Fourth of July. In spring, the national average was near $4 per gallon and some states reported unleaded gas at close to $5 per gallon.

Idaho's current average price for gas is $3.70 for a gallon of unleaded, 4 cents lower than a week ago and 10 cents lower than a month ago. The highest price was reported to be $4.04 per gallon at a Ketchum station.

The lowest prices were reported at two stations in Southeast Boise, both charging $3.58 for a gallon of unleaded.
