A Sept. 27 Meridian fundraiser hosting Ann Romney as its guest netted a half-million dollars for her husband's presidential bid.
The fundraiser at The Club at SpurWing in Meridian drew 200 people and raised $500,000, according to the Idaho Statesman's Dan Popkey.
Former Massachusetts Gov. and Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has raised more than $3 million in Idaho in his bid to defeat President Barack Obama, according to the article.
The fee for attending the event, where Mrs. Romney spoke for approximately 15 minutes, ranged from $1,000 to $25,000 per couple, according to Popkey.
Romney's Idaho co-chairman, Sen. Jim Risch, told Popkey that Mrs. Romney was upbeat, and told attendees her husband was the man to "turn this country around."
