More than 25 Idaho Government Websites Down

Posted By on Tue, Oct 9, 2012 at 10:35 AM

The state of Idaho has a big IT headache today.

When Citydesk inquired about not being able to access the Idaho Legislature's website for the past two days, a representative from the Idaho Department of Administration said there was a problem with one of the state's Virtual Private Networks, a windows network used to secure remote access to other networks.

As a result, the following state websites are down:

accountability.idaho.gov
apps.gis.idaho.gov
capitolcommission.idaho.gov
cio.idaho.gov
cms.idaho.gov
cseducation.tax.idaho.gov
dpw.idaho.gov
efib.idaho.gov
energy.idaho.gov
fsp.idaho.gov
go-on.idaho.gov
homeperformance.idaho.gov
ipels.idaho.gov
irec.idaho.gov
isb.idaho.gov
itcsales.idaho.gov
itrmc.idaho.gov
leasing.idaho.gov
legislature.idaho.gov
mcpac.idaho.gov (external access only)
project60.idaho.gov
realestatecommission.idaho.gov
recovery.idaho.gov
scratchforschools.idaho.gov
tax.idaho.gov
www3.idaho.gov

Additionally, there are problems with the server used by the Idaho State Bar and Idaho State Insurance Fund.

Since Oct. 8 was a holiday, state IT staff began working on the problem this morning.
