An Eagle man, who was an athletic coach in the Mountain Home School District until he was placed on administrative leave in May, was arrested by Boise Police Wednesday and charged with sexual abuse of a minor.
Detectives with the Boise Police Special Victim's Unit said the alleged crime occurred in a Boise home between January and May. Both the victim and suspect are known to each other.
Grant Bothen, 42, turned himself into the Ada County Jail but was released on a $50,000 bond.
Bothen served as athletic director of Hacker Middle School in Mountain Home.
According to Tim McMurtrey, Mountain Home School District superintendent, Bothen was "placed on administrative leave due to a personnel issue."
Bothen is charged with one count of felony sexual abuse of a child.
The victim is receiving services through the BPD Victim Services Unit.
