Police Dog Leads Officers to Four Pounds of Pot, Two Arrests

Chelsea Keena, 28, is charged with marijuana trafficking and failure to appear.

Tyler Kennedy, 28, is charged with trafficking marijuana.

Jaxx, a member of the Boise Police Department's K-9 unit, is being credited for the arrest of a man and woman, both facing felony charges of drug trafficking.

Boise Police stopped a vehicle Wednesday night with a headlight out while traveling near Broadway Avenue and Chamberlin Street. Jaxx alerted officers of the likely presence of drugs. Boise Police officers said a search of the vehicle netted more than four pounds of marijuana in the trunk.

Chelsea Keena, 28, of Boise and Tyler Kennedy, 28, of Meridian are both charged with marijuana trafficking. Additionally, Keena had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for failure to appear on previous charges.
