When David Wood took the reins as the new director of the Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center in May, he told Boise Weekly that one of his highest priorities was to fill key leadership vacancies, including a chief of staff. Wood announced Thursday that he found the right woman for the job.
Dr. Teresa Boyd will officially fill the position on Nov. 13.
The Texas-native osteopath comes to Boise after assignments in Texas, Maine and Washington, where she recently served as director of systems redesign at the Pugent Sound VA Health Care System.
"I have no doubt Dr. Boyd will serve the veterans of Idaho and Oregon with distinction as she takes on the responsibility of ensuring the clinical operations of our Medical Center are conducted in a safe, timely and quality manner.” said Wood.
