An Eagle man is behind bars, following an overnight standoff on the 2400 block of East Lennox Court in Eagle.

Ada County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene after receiving reports of an armed man acting irrationally and threatening to harm himself. Police later said the suspect physically battered the older man and threatened the relative with a gun, firing five to eight shots into the walls of the home.

A two-hour standoff ended when the suspect exited the home. But when he refused to follow orders, a police K-9 was used to apprehend the suspect.
