Knock, Knock: Boise Door-to-Door Salesman Threatened at Gunpoint

George Silva, 26, is charged with aggravated assault.


A door-to-door salesman told Boise Police that he was met with a handgun and threats when he approached a door Thursday on the 10000 block of West Susan Street.

Police said the suspect opened the door and immediately pointed a handgun at the victim, yelling and making threats against his life. The victim said the suspect came out of the home and grabbed him as he attempted to leave, pointing the gun in his face and making more threats.

Police established a perimeter around the home before the suspect surrendered a short time later.

George Silva, 26, of Boise was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault.

Kenneth Nunes, 30, is charged with DUI, driving without privileges and operating a vehicle without owners consent.

Thursday night, Boise Police said they spotted a vehicle without headlights at Five Mile and Ustick roads, just before midnight. When officers stopped the car, the driver appeared to be intoxicated and failed several field sobriety tests, blowing a .22 blood alcohol level. Officers also learned that the suspect had taken the vehicle without the owner's consent. A check through city records also indicated the suspect had prior DUI convictions.

Kenneth Nunes, 30, of Caldwell was charged with DUI, driving without privileges and operating a vehicle without the owner's consent.
