Boise Visitors Bureau Moving Into New Digs Near Chamber of Commerce, Economic Partnership Offices

The Boise Convention and Visitors Bureau, which was tangled in a nearly two-year-long tug of war with the Greater Boise Auditorium District over funding and operational oversight, announced late Thursday that it had forged a new partnership with the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce

According to the announcement, the new services agreement is expected to "reduce costs by allowing the organizations to share resources." Simply put, BCVB will be moving from its Main Street offices next to the Owyhee Plaza Hotel to the Chamber's offices on Fifth Street. BCVB is expected to pack its boxes and move over to the Chamber in March. Additionally, the Boise Valley Economic Partnership shares office space on the same floor.

"All three entities that strive to promote the Boise Valley ... will be in the same location, working together," said Bill Connors, president and CEO of the Boise Metro Chamber. "This is a partnership that has proven to yield great results in many cities across the country, and we look forward to brining the same benefits here to Boise."
