Boise State's men basketball team is heading to the Big Dance—or at least the dance-off before the Big Dance.
Sunday evening revealed what most Boise State basketball fans already knew, that the men's hoops squad was every bit as exciting as Boise State football.
Boise State earned a so-called "at-large" berth into the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, meaning the team will play Wednesday evening in Dayton, Ohio, against LaSalle. If they're successful, Boise State will then have to fly to Kansas City to take on (get this) Kansas State in the madness that is March.
Boise State is tied for 44th in the nation in scoring offense versus Kansas State's ranking of 60.
Gonzaga University emerged in one of the tournament's four regional No. 1 spots, after losing only two games all season, one of which came on a buzzer beater at Butler.
Other No. 1 spots were granted to Louisville, Kansas and Indiana.
