Kenneth Buckner, 23, and Brandi Henton, 20, are charged with petit theft.

Two Boise State University basketball players were locked up in the Ada County Jail April 6 after being charged with stealing food from a Walmart on the 8300 block of West Overland Road. Both suspects posted bond and were released from the jail, pending their arraignment.

23-year-old senior Kenny Buckner and 20-year-old sophomore Brandi Henton were charged with misdemeanor petit theft. Buckner has already completed his run with the Boise State men's basketball squad (wrapping up in the preliminary round of the just-completed NCAA tournament). Henton has been suspended from Boise State's women's basketball team.

Buckner was previously arrested in January with three other Boise State students and charged with petit theft. He also pleaded guilty to a previous charge of petit theft in June 2012. At the time, he was placed on unsupervised probation for one year.

Buckner played two seasons for the Boise State men's basketball team. Henton had been a guard for the women's team.
