Boise Police: Two Would-Be Thieves Caught in the Act at Construction Site

Boise Police said they caught two Garden City men early this morning, as the suspects were trying to cut wires on electric meters.

Law enforcement responded to a call of a theft in progress at a construction site at Overland Road and South Goldking Way. Police said they spotted two suspects underneath a construction trailer, trying to cut the wires loose. Officers determined that the suspects were trying to sell the meters and wiring boxes as scrap. The boxes were valued at more than $1,000.

44-year-old Kenneth Aebishcer and 30-year-old Eric Nasker, both of Garden City, were each charged with a felony count of malicious injury to property and petit theft.
