Posted By on Mon, Apr 15, 2013 at 9:23 AM

Two men were treated for injuries at Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Ontario after police said the men detonated a home-made explosive device near the Bully Creek Reservoir, west of Vale, Ore. One of the men was transported via air ambulance to a Portland hospital. The second man was transported to a Boise hospital.

The Nampa Bomb Squad was dispatched to the scene to assist Ontario Police as they conducted a search of the home of the two men on Southwest Third Ave. in Ontario, Ore. That's where law enforcement said they discovered bomb-making materials and instructions. Additionally, the bomb squad discovered more undetonated explosive devices at the scene of the blast near the Bully Creek Reservoir.

Ontario Police said they secured the hospital's perimeter and checked the men's vehicle before giving the all-clear late Sunday night.
