Boise Woman Charged With Chasing Girls, Threatening With Knife

Sherry Batt, 34, is charged with two counts of felony injury to a child.

A Boise woman is behind bars after being charged overnight with two counts of felony injury to a child.

Law enforcement was called to the 2000 block of N. 23rd Street at approximately 10 p.m. April 24. That's where they say they saw the suspect running down the street with a steak knife in her hand chasing two juvenile females. Witnesses said they heard the suspect cursing at the two juveniles where were screaming for help. Police suspect the suspect had been drinking alcohol.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital to be medically cleared before being booked into the Ada County Jail.

34-year-old Sherry Batt of Boise who is being held at the lockup, faces a maximum penalty of up to ten years behind bars for each county of felony injury to a child.
