A North Central Idaho teenage girl required hospitalization after she overdosed on drugs at a Lapwai track meet. The Nez Perce County Sheriff's Department says the drugs were allegedly given to her under false pretenses.

This morning's Lewiston Tribune reports that a 17-year-old boy from Potlatch was arrested this week, after he allegedly gave LSD to a female friend and told her it was pain medication. According to law enforcement, the 17-year-old girl began experiencing a "medical reaction" to the drug April 23 and had breathing difficulties. One of the girl's grandparents rushed her to a hospital, but "she was all right."

The Tribune reports that the boy admitted to obtaining the drug from "an online source." The boy faces a possible charge of possession of a controlled substance.
