Boise Police had a particularly busy weekend, resulting in a number of felony arrests.
Law enforcement was called to an East Boise home in the early morning hours of July 13. That's where they found evidence that someone had fired a bullet into the home following a personal dispute.
47-year-old Tyler Holms of Boise was booked into the Ada County Jail on a charge of unlawfully discharging a weapon into a dwelling.
That same evening, police responded to a report of a fight at a Boise Bench residence. That's where a victim told police that a man had threatened him with a knife.
61-year-old Ronald Harris of Boise was booked into the Ada County lockup on a felony count of aggravated assault.
Later still, Police were called to a report of a fight in Rhodes Park where two adult males were fighting in an apparent dispute over alcohol. Witnesses said one of the men repeatedly struck the other man in the face while he was laying on the ground. Medical personnel said the victim may suffer permanent damage as a result of the attack. The suspect was found several hours after the alleged attack when he returned to the park to retrieve personal items.
48-year-old Billy Manzanarez, with no known address, was locked up on a felony charge of aggravated battery.
In the early morning hours of July 14, Boise Police came upon a vehicle in an empty parking lot on the 5000 block of West Overland Road with the engine running and headlights on. That's where police found the driver unconscious behind the wheel.
A Boise Police K-9 alerted police to the likely presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed meth, narcotic pills, used needles and other drug paraphernalia.
32-year-old Jacob Brewer of Meridian was charged with felony counts of possession of meth and prescription medications, and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
During another patrol, this time on July 12, Boise Police said they seized marijuana, prescription pills and an open bottle of whiskey during a traffic stop near Curtis Road and Marvin Lane.
22-year-old Justin Kent of Boise was charged with possession of prescription medications, marijuana possession and possession of an open container.
And a Boise man was taken to the Ada County Jail after he blew a .08 blood alcohol content and failing several field sobriety tests on the Boise Bench. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had two prior DUI convictions.
32-year-old John Welsh of Boise was charged with a felony count of DUI.
