Police Blotter: Three Drug Busts and Garden City Man Charged With Stealing From Boise Employer

Boise Police made three felony drug arrests Thursday.

As part of an ongoing investigation, Boise Narcotics detectives said they arrested a Boise woman, wanted in connection with the illegal sale of prescription drugs.

Carly Edwards, 22, of Boise was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance.

Sydney Smith, 19, is charged with meth possession and parole violation.

Also Thursday, Boise Police assisted Idaho Probation and Parole agents on a search of a residence on the 1000 block of South Leadville Avenue. Officers said they seized meth and some drug paraphernalia.

Sydney Smith, 19, of Boise was sent to the Ada County lockup on felony counts of meth possession and violation of parole.

Kelsey King, 21, is charged with petit theft and possession of a controlled substance.

While investigating an incident of alleged theft at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee Street Thursday, police said they arrested an Oregon woman on drug charges.

Store employees told police that they witnessed the suspect conceal several clothing items and leave the store without paying for them. When police detained the suspect, a search revealed prescription Oxycodone pills that were not prescribed to her.

Kelsey King, 21, of Clatskanie, Ore., was charged with felony counts of petit theft and possession of a controlled substance.

Xaviar Trautwein, 39, is charged with two felony counts of burglary.

Boise Police also arrested an employee of a Boise business, charging him with stealing from his employer. Police responded to a report of a theft at a business on the 300 block of East Front Street. That's where employees said several items had been stolen from the business, including electronics, tools and cash.

Xaviar Trautwien, 39, of Garden City was charged with two felony counts of burglary.
