Multiple law enforcement agencies, collaborating as part of an underage drinking patrol, handed out two dozen minor consumption citations throughout Ada County July 20.

Participating officers from the Ada County Juvenile Enforcement Team, Boise Police Department, Bureau of Land Management and Idaho State Police focused on areas throughout the City of Boise and Ada County.

During the evening law enforcement officers said they witnessed numerous cars occupied by young drivers and multiple minors in the area of Swan Falls and Initial Point, south of Kuna. Officers observed open containers of alcohol at a bonfire, with multiple vehicles arriving through the night. A large majority of the attendees were under 18 years of age and the youngest was 15. The party included well over 100 minors.

In total, law enforcement issued two DUIs, three open container violations and 24 minor consumption citations.
