Boise Police are investigating a serious early morning collision at Eighth and Front streets in the city's downtown core. Police said a pedestrian—an adult male—was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses said the pedestrian was crossing the street just after 1 a.m. when he was struck by a car. According to eyewitness reports, the driver had a green light at the time of the collision. When officers and emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene, the pedestrian was seriously injured.
The Boise Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Team is conducting an investigation of the incident. No charges have been filed, pending the outcome of the investigation.
