Garden City Police say they have a pretty good description of a vehicle involved in a hit and run late in the evening of Aug. 24 that left a man in serious condition at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
The incident occurred just about 10 p.m. at the intersection of Chinden Boulevard and Garrett Street. That's where witnesses said a dark-colored SUV ran a red light and struck the man in a crosswalk. Additionally, witnesses said the SUV pulled into a nearby gas station parking lot, and then sped off on Maple Grove Road toward Mountain View Drive.
The SUV is described as black or dark green, with damage to the right front quarter panel or hood area. The right front light may be broken.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
Garden City Police released some fuzzy images of the vehicle, caught on a surveillance camera.
