Boise Police were alerted to the Hewlett-Packard Campus this morning. That's where city police, working with private security, began conducting a safety sweep of the Maximus building that is not part of HP, but is on the HP campus.
Preliminary information indicates that a note was found at the building that prompted the response from law enforcement. Police were quick to add that there was no reason to believe there was a widespread public safety threat on the campus.
Eventually, Maximus officials decided to send their employees home for the day while the security sweep continued.
A similar security sweep occurred at the same building Sept. 26.
