This morning's Lewiston Tribune reports that Clarkston, Wash., police stopped an alleged grinch, accused of stealing Christmas ornaments, but not before she broke an angle after jumping off a retaining wall.
The suspect was taken to Tri-State Memorial Hospital Dec. 3, and ultimately extradited to Idaho's Nez Perce County Jail.
Eyewitnesses said they spotted Cheri Delacruz in a True Value Hardware store putting several items in her purse including star lanterns and ornaments. The suspect was chased down the street by two employees. That's when she jumped a retaining wall, but suffered injuries to her ankle.
After being treated, Delacruz was booked for third-degree theft. She has since been transferred to Idaho on an outstanding warrant for a previous burglary charge.
