Boise Police say the driver of a scooter was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device after running a red light Tuesday morning, before hitting a car at the intersection of Main and 15th streets at approximately 6 a.m.
The driver of the scooter was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center but his injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the car was not injured.

A man was rushed to a Boise hospital at the break of dawn this morning after his scooter collided with an automobile at the corner of 15th and Main streets.
Boise Police were called to the scene at approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. Investigators say the injured driver of the scooter had been wearing a helmet. Police said the car was headed north on 15th Street when it collided with the scooter, which was traveling east on Main Street.
The extent of injuries of the man driving the scooter weren't immediately known but he was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
