Tom Dale, the former mayor of Nampa, has found new life in, you guessed it, more politics.
Dale defeated incumbent Canyon County Commissioner Kathy Alder in Tuesday's GOP primary by nearly 1,000 votes. Dale's victory came approximately six months after losing Nampa's top job, after serving 18 years as mayor.
"I just know that it is a really big job," Dale told the Idaho Press-Tribune, referring to his new post. "And there is a lot of work ahead. I look forward to continuing what I love to do and that is to serve others."
In the other Canyon County Commission race, incumbent Steve Rule narrowly survived a challenge from Sid Freeman by only 53 votes.
