KIDK -TV: Literature From KKK Surfaces in Eastern Idaho

Posted By on Tue, Jul 1, 2014 at 9:20 AM

Some residents of Rexburg have contacted their police department to report the distribution of Ku Klux Klan literature in the Eastern Idaho community.

KIDK-TV reports that the fliers were placed on cars in the area of North 3rd East Street and Smith Park in Rexburg. Police said they found a man putting the fliers on cars and asked him to stop handing out the literature, and without resisting, the man agreed.

"I think they are decades out of touch," Rexburg resident Tom Kennely told KIDK-TV. "This is not redneck country or Arkansas, Alabama or down south. If they think this part of Idaho would even be susceptible to receiving KKK literature they have lost their minds."
