The Minneapolis police have released the audiotape of the arresting officer's interview with U.S. Sen. Larry Craig, and it's not pretty.
In the interview, you can hear Craig arguing with the police officer, Sgt. Dave Karsnia, over the exact details of what happened.
"I'm disappointed in you sir, I really am," said Karsnia after he and Craig failed to agree about the details of the action.
"I am not gay. I don't do these kinds of things," Craig said.
It goes downhill from there. Updates as we get the notes down.
Craig at one point accuses Karsnia of entrapment.
"This is not entrapment," Karsnia retorted.
"Have you ever been successful in any of these bathrooms before?" Karsnia acts.
"I go to that bathroom regularly," Craig says.
"I mean for any type of other activities."
"No. Absolutely not. I don't seek activity in bathrooms," Craig says.
"It's embarrassing," Karsnia says.
"Well it's embarrassing for both ... I'm not going to fight you."
"I know you're not going to fight me. But that's not the point. I would respect you and I still respect you. I don't disrespect you but I'm disrespected right now and I"m not trying to act like I have all kinds of power or anything, but you're sitting here lying to a police officer."
