Got an opinion about wolves?
Sure you doeverybody else does
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is hosting an open house on May 19, giving the public the chance to review and comment on the proposed wolf hunting season.
Details of the proposal are posted on-line
, but basically, the department is recommending that no more than 328 wolves be killed in Idaho in 2008. That includes those which die from natural causes, accidents, are killed because of livestock attacks and through hunting.
This would bring the statewide population to between 550 and 600 wolves by the end of the year.
The open house will be held from 4-8 p.m. on May 19 in the Trophy Room at Fish and Game headquarters, 600 S. Walnut, in Boise.
