So, I’m coming clean: I’ve been fanning the flames of a major crush for the past year. Everyday, sometimes multiple times a day, I’ll take a peak at 101cookbooks.com to see if vegetarian home-chef, traveler and photographer-extraordinaire Heidi Swanson has posted a new recipe. Heidi’s site features an array of natural, whole-food recipes—each with a unique twist. When I show up to work with a Tupperware container full of red lentil and brown rice soup or parmesan-flecked Brussels sprouts, it’s not hard to guess where I pilfered the recipe.
This weekend, as I whipped up Swanson’s cabbage-filled Japanese pizza for some pals after a late night out, I found out that a few of my friends also share in my Swanson-superfandom. One of them even has her first cookbook, Cook 1.0: A Fresh Approach to the Vegetarian Kitchen. Fancy that.
This got me thinking about what other natural, unique, frequently-updated food blogs might be out there. I have a couple vegan favs—Vegan Dad and Fat Free Vegan Kitchen—but I’m itching to find more. Any thoughts?
