WIRED magazine is one of the few print publications still in print (hallelujah) and for good reason. It's a font of information, important and otherwise.
One article even has a local angle: the rise and subsequent fall of Pleo, the life-like robotic dinosaur invented by Boise's own Caleb Chung (we spoke to Chung about Pleo in December of 2008).
One of the best things about WIRED is not only its ventures into all worlds—technology ,pop-culture, literature, medicine—but the thousand little pointless sidebars so full of information, that readers learn something in spite of themselves. Such as, Jean-Claude Van Damme does the splits in no less than nine of his films. Now wouldn't that be one hell of an ice-breaker if you met him in person?
