Eats Chowder and Cribbage for Christmas

Most of us send a thank you note to show our appreciation for receiving a gift. Chef Roland of Chef Roland's Cajun Cuisine takes that about 10 steps further.

For the past couple of years, Chef Roland has offered up a little holiday spirit in the form of his fine food to say thanks to the community that has supported him. On Wednesday, Dec. 23 from 2-8 p.m., Chef Roland will ladle out chicken/potato/corn chowder, chicken noodle soup and jambalaya. And what's soup without sides? So, he'll also be serving up hot bread and hushpuppies to go with it and hot cider to wash it all down.

It's free of charge, though donations are accepted and Chef Roland encourages people to bring a friend. The best part of this whole thing (you'd think it would be hard to top free soup), was the note at the bottom of the e-mail Roland sent: "Cribbage played here!!"
