Fast Food Conspiracy

Posted By on Wed, Apr 28, 2010 at 2:40 PM

Just when you thought the fast food industry’s plot to kill us all couldn’t become any more blatant, IHOP has thrown down the gauntlet.

Just weeks after KFC introduced its new artery-clogging concoction, the Double Down (featuring two chicken breasts as buns holding together two slices of bacon, two types of cheese and a mayo-based sauce), the other restaurant known only by its initials is now offering cheesecake-filled pancakes.

Yup, that’s cheesecake wedged between two buttermilk pancakes, topped with either strawberry, blueberry or cinnamon apple compote and whipped topping. And, if you really want to do it right, you have the option of ordering the gut-busting pancakes in a combo with eggs, hash browns and either bacon, sausage or ham.

That’s right, that’s just one meal.

If you get the works, it totals roughly 1,250 calories—more than twice the Double Down and half the daily caloric intake of an average adult. Just check out the stats.

If it’s possible, we’ve gained weight just talking about this.
