Last Saturday afternoon I was signed up for a bicycle tour of residential art deco architecture in Boise's North End. I hopped aboard my trusty seven-speed cruiser looking forward to a leisurely ride and feeling eager to learn more about the architectural style from the smart folks at Preservation Idaho who hosted the event.

Pedaling along Hill Road toward the tour's starting place, I heard a clanking noise. Then my rear tire went all squishy on me. Drat! Flat tire.

I hoped to have several photos of jazz-era homes to post this week, but instead I tried to squeeze a little lemonade from my flat tire lemon and took these shots instead.

This is the first blue sky day we had after about a week solid of steady spring rain.
