The FIFA World Cup kicks off today in South Africa, meaning for the next month, the world is going to be going mad for soccer (or in most parts of the world, football) as they watch the 32 teams compete for national pride.

With American interest in soccer at a seemingly all-time high, the championship game is expected by some to be among the most watched events in history, behind only the 2008 Olympic games. There are numerous Boise bars and restaurants that will be displaying the soccer madness on their TV screens.

TableRock Brewpub and Grill, Lulu’s Pizza, The Office Bar and Grill, Terry’s State Street Saloon, Brewforia, The Front Door Northwest Pizza and Tap House, Ha’ Penny Irish Pub and Grill, Bittercreek Ale House, Cottonwood Grille, and The Lift Bar and Grill will all be showing the World Cup.

But if you’d rather watch the games sprawled out on your old plushy couch at home, BW blogger FBM Fidel Nshbombo is in South Africa this month and offered some great ways to watch the games on your TV or computer.
